Wayne Watson, RSW, FCSC, CCS, FCSI
Vice President
Wayne Watson, well known across North America (operating as W2 Consultants Ltd.) has actively conducted business across Canada and the USA for over 40 years. Wayne's primary business activities have been in a consulting capacity in the specialized field of preparing master specifications systems, preparing construction contracts, and providing consultation on the organization and classification of construction data to the construction information industry in the USA and Canada.
|
 |
Wayne developed and marketed CONSPEC, the first nationally available master specification in Canada in 1977 (introduced 1 year prior to the NMS). That development met with instant acceptance in the Canadian private sector and was followed later by mid-sized and small-sized master specification products in the 1980's. CONSPEC was also converted for use in the USA and marketed nationally as SPECTEXT by CSI and CRSF beginning in 1979. These master documents lead the industry in master specifications research and development including automated applications for computer usage. His dedicated research and proven technology is apparent in each of the major master specification systems available in North America today. His involvement and recognition internationally provides the strong foundation and resolve to ensure that Digicon carries the incredible accomplishments of Mr. Watson into the future.
Wayne Watson is past National President of Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) and past President of International Construction Information Society (ICIS), an organization comprised of construction information companies from 17 organizations in 15 countries on 4 continents.
