Digicon recognizes the need to support manufacturers and their product representatives who may not have the depth of knowledge of the commercial construction industry, its key players, the project construction process and other issues so essential to the commercial construction industry. 

Manufacturers are the experts in the development and manufacturing of the products they bring to the North American market.  Digicon has experience in the commercial construction industry from both design and commercial sales sectors, and we know what is required to successfully market products to the key decision makers in the industry. 

The following products and services have been provided to assist hundreds of manufacturers to develop quality technical documentation for their products over many years, and to excel at selling those products to the target decision makers in the commercial construction industry.

Publications	ProductFormat	A formatting document, endorsed by Construction Specifications Canada (CSC), that provides the framework for the development of product descriptions (data sheets) that complement the industry accepted 3 part SectionFormat (CSC standard for the structure of specification sections).
Technical Representative Teaching Manual	Workbook for Product Representatives	Developed in conjunction with Ron Blank and Associates Inc., of San Antonio Texas, this document provides manufacturers and their technical representatives with a firm foundation in the commercial project development process, and how best to position themselves in this market.
DOCUMENT DEVELOPMENT SERVICES
Proprietary Specifications	Manufacturer's Product Specifications (BrandedSPECs)	Master (template) specifications include all information required for a specific manufacturer's product. This approach reduces the research load on the specifier, while increasing the potential for the manufacturer's product to be chosen by the successful bidder.
Product Descriptions	Manufacturer's Product Information	Product Descriptions are developed to a consensus standard which is compatible with the project specification format.  This organization is very familiar to specifiers, who are then able to easily find the information they require.
MSDS Sheets	Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)	MSDS sheets are a summary of the hazardous materials contained in a product, relevant safety precautions and handling procedures associated with toxic chemicals in products.  MSDS sheets are sometimes requested as supporting documentation for LEED credits.

OTHER SERVICES
Document Library	BrandedSPEC hosting service	Spex.ca, the marketing venue for all of Digicon's documents, hosts documents that are branded with Digicon's Seal of Approval.  Manufacturers pay for this service, which allows design consultants and specifiers to use the literature free of charge.
Seminars	Technical Representative Seminars	Seminars for manufacturer owners, marketing, and sales personnel are specifically focussed on the most successful sales approaches to design consultants and specifiers.  An emphasis is placed on how to identify key decision makers, and target their specific needs in the most timely and cost-effective manner.
